LOS ÁNGELES.Clayton Kershaw se queda en Los Ángeles. El as zurdo pactó un contrato por 93 millones de dólares y tres años con los Dodgers y evitó la agencia libre.
Las partes alcanzaron el acuerdo ayer, poco antes del plazo para que Kershaw se saliera de su previo contrato, de 215 millones y siete año. A ese contrato le quedaban dos temporadas adicionales, con un valor total de 65 millones.
Kershaw, siete veces elegido al Juego de Estrellas, recibirá 28 millones adicionales en dinero garantizado. El nuevo acuerdo incluye 4 millones anuales en bonificaciones por número de aperturas. También podrá recibir bonificaciones en caso que gane premios individuales.
Ganador del premio Cy Young de la Liga Nacional en 2011, 2013 y 2014, Kershaw se vio limitado a 26 aperturas este año.
